Mr. Myron Labat, Sr. |
| Mr. Labat is a 1970 graduate of Bay
High School. He attended PRC on basketball scholarship and earned an
Associate Arts degree in General Education. He continued his
education at the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Administration and Coaching with a
minor in Social Studies. In 2002, Mr. Labat received a M. S. Degree
in Education Leadership and Research, also from USM. Mr. Labat taught Social Studies and served as Head Tennis Coach at St. Stanilaus College for 17 years. He has worked with Bay St. Louis City Schools for 11 years. Prior to becoming principal at Second Street Elementary in 2006, he was assistant principal at Bay-Waveland Middle School for four years. He is the father of three, Myron Jr.-Asst. Principal at Pass Christian H.S., Marion- a nurse at Garden Park Hospital, and Mylon-a design Engineer with Northrup Grunman. He is also the proud grandfather of three boys! Mr. Labat is an active member of St. Rose de Lima, and spends his personal time reading, traveling, playing and teaching tennis. |
