We will set high expectations and continue to do the work required to achieve our goals. We have made a commitment to design students' work that is challenging, interesting, and satisfying work to engage our students and make them want to persist with their schoolwork so that they learn important things.  We have revised the grading policy to be consistent with the other schools in the district.

Every faculty member, student, and parent is an important part of the Waveland Elementary community and has an essential part in creating a wonderful school experience.   To meet the needs of our children, we depend on a collaborative effort among parents, staff, and the community.  By working in a truly collaborative manner, we will see our children succeed beyond our dreams.

We are committed to living our district mission statement: The Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District is a system that teaches and expects all to read, write, think, compute, speak well, love the arts, and behave in socially acceptable ways in order to become an economically independent contributing member of society.  (Adopted from the "Monroe Doctrine" 01/02/07)
