Crossroads Learning Center supports the Bay-Waveland School District's vision and mission of educating students to become productive members of society. Students who have exhibited poor behavior choices or need academic intervention attend Crossroads temporarily in order to regroup and prepare to return to their home schools. While at Crossroads, all students continue their normal course of study and participate in service projects, such as beautification or recycling programs in the schools.
The main goal of the Crossroads experience is to provide the support and resources each student needs to facilitate a successful transition back to the home school by making better choices. The faculty and staff at Crossroads provide a positive environment that will foster academic and behavioral success. At Crossroads, overall student success hinges upon a strong partnership between school, student and parent. Parental support is encouraged and viewed as a vital component of the student's progress.
